Garoche Smidt was a human male who served the Galactic Republic and later the Galactic Empire. During the Clone Wars, Smidt served as a Republic captain under a Unknown Jedi Master. During the incident was Smidt later promoted to Admiral

After Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire and proclaimed the Jedi as fugitives, Smidt became Grand Moff and later Grand Admiral, and regional Governor of the Outer Rim.
