American Limb Preservation Society, ALPS; is an International Professional Association that serves as an interdisciplinary bridge between patients and specialties in medicine, surgery, nursing, physical therapy, engineering and science to foster better care of the high risk lower extremity.

Founded in 2020, ALPS works to

  • advance the science, clinical care and advocacy of limb preservation
  • identify, develop and mentor the next generation of clinicians, scientists and clinician scientists in this field
  • and ultimately to eliminate preventable amputations over the next generation.[1]

Interdisciplinary Diabetic Foot Conference[redigér | rediger kildetekst]

The Interdisciplinary Diabetic Foot Conference, DFCon, is an academic meeting for limb preservation in the United States. DFCon focusses on diagnostics and interventional strategies for diabetic foot ulcers and amputation prevention and includes didactic talks, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, specialty symposia and workshops as well as demonstrations from medical device companies.[2]
