English

Phylogenetic ring of life based on the eukaryotic symbiogenetic origin from the biological fusion between an archaeon and a bacterium.[1] [2] The following prokaryotic clades are represented:

  • Proteoarchaeota and TACK: Archaeal supergroups related to the origin of eukaryotes.[3] [4]
  • Terrabacteria: Bacterial superphylum related to adaptation to terrestrial habitat[5] and supported by protein[6] and genomic analysis.[7]
  • Posibacteria: Group that includes gram-positive bacteria based on protein,[8] [9] enzymatic and structural similarities.[10] Structurally it groups together monoderm bacteria[11] and is supported by the phylogeny of ribosomal proteins.[12]
  • Gracilicutes, PVC, FCB and Rhodobacteria: Clades that include gram-negative and structurally diderm bacteria. They are phylogenetically supported by the phylogeny of 16S and 23S ribosomal RNA,[13] proteome,[14] ribosomal proteins,[12] genome,[15] and evolutionary theories.[10]
