Holsten-mellemistiden i Nordeuropa (analog til Hoxnian-mellemistiden i Storbritannien, Yarmouth-mellemistiden i Nordamerika og Mindel-Riss-mellemistiden i Alperne) er navne for mellemistidsperioden fra ca. 300.000 til 180.000 år siden. Det er den pleistocæne epoke af den kvartære periode.
Det var en varm periode, og dens aflejringer ligger direkte oven på materialer fra den foregående Elster-istid og under lagene fra den følgende Saaleistid.
Der er fundet flintværktøj fra denne periode.
Øen Storbritannien blev skilt fra Europa for ca. 200.000 år siden, da en massiv vandstrøm flyttede en masse materiale. [1]
