Er der Groningen i Holland (Nederlandene) eller i Tyskland Nieder Sachsen? --Philo 25. maj 2006 kl. 13:44 (CEST)
Groningen er i Holland. I Tyskland er byen Gröningen.
I'm not Danish, so my Danish is very bad. I have written this as a begin for the article, but could some one expand it? I'll write some in English, and if some one would translate it and put it in the article, I would really appreciate it. 81.205.234.85 3. jun 2006 kl. 13:18 (CEST)
- Gronings has developed itself from the Frisian language, when the Saxon city of Groningen took over the Frisian Ommelanden (the land around the city). There are still some Frisian influences left and also some Danish words. The reason for that is the commerce between Groningen and Danmark in the late middle ages. Groningen has also based the pattern of its flag uppon that relation to Danmark.
