Aura menes, i forskellige esoteriske eller spirituelle kredse, at være et felt af farvede energier som omgiver mennesker. I mange trossystemer antages det, at clairvoyante kan se en persons personlighed og helbred i deres aura.

Ordet oprinder fra det græske αύρα, ávra betydende "brise", "pust" eller "nimbus". Det er kommet ind i dansk via det tilsvarende latinske aura, der betyder "lysskær", "livsånde", "åndepust" eller "brise".
