SAIC Motor (1995-2011 Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) (上海汽车工业(集团)总公司|t=上海汽車工業(集團)總公司) forkortet SAIC (Shàngqì) er en statsejet, kinesisk køretøjsfabrikant. Moderselskabet er the Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.[1] SAIC har adskillige datterselskaber inklusiv SAIC Motor Corporation Ltd og HUAYU Automotive Systems Co Ltd[2]

Virksomheden er blandt de fire største kinesiske køretøjsfabrikanter sammen med Chang'an Motors, FAW Group Corporation og Dongfeng Motor Corporation,[3] SAIC var den mest produktive fabrikant i år 2010 i Kina med 3,56 millioner solgte enheder.[4]

SAIC produkter sælges under forskellige mærker inklusive sine joint venture partneres mærker. Virksomheden driver Roewe et af fem kinesiske luksusbilmærker.

Det nuværende SAIC er et resultat af talrige sammenlægninger. Shanghai Internal Combustion Engine Components Company blev grundlagt i december 1955 som det første.[5]


I februar 2011 lancerede SAIC Maxusmærket, et nyt globalt mærke.[6][7]

Baojun,[8] Maxus,[9] MG,[10] Roewe,[10] Wuling,[11] and Yuejin.[12] Joint venture køretøjer sælges under mærker som Buick,[13] Chevrolet,[13] Iveco,[12] Škoda,[14] og Volkswagen.[14]

Nanjing Iveco Auto Co Ltd ("New Naveco"),[15] Saic-Iveco Commercial Vehicle Co Ltd,[16] SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive, and Shanghai General Motors Corporation.

SAIC har fabrikker i Chongqing, Liuzhou, Shanghai, Shenyang, Qingdao og Yantai.[2] Virksomheden har desuden en fabrik i Storbritannien, Longbridge plant.[17]
