Den Danske Landmandsbank (pronunciation)[rediger kildetekst]

This question is related to my previous question from 2011. How are the a-sounds pronounced in the name "Den Danske Landmandsbank"? --Pxos (diskussion) 7. feb 2013, 01:16 (CET)

The a-sound in first three instances (Dan, Land, mands) are almost like the english; an example.
Whereas in the last; bank, the a-sound is more like the german; vielen dank — couldn't find any english word. --Hofkas (diskussion) 7. feb 2013, 02:12 (CET)
But please note that pronunciation varies geographically and over time, as well as socially. The "flat a" used to be seen as a distinguishing characteristic of lower-class Copenhagen speech. In the word "half", American English has something close to a "flat a". You can read a bit in our article Rigsdansk, and here, you can find more. --Palnatoke (diskussion) 7. feb 2013, 07:36 (CET)
