I come from Denmark, and I use wikipedia for many purposes, why I'm, writing a text to this subject: Ándre the Giant. To begin with, I would like to say, I am half american, and spent 3-4 years in WA, on a diplomatic license; my father workked in a foreign embassy of Denmark...........

Well, we don't have the World Wide Wrestling Fed. in Denmark, but I understand the value of an: arena with a group of big, masculine men, fighting eachother - to win a prize, and the haywire-to-do-it kind of mentality, which makes for great entertainment!!!!!! My question is ((for overseas peolpe)) not knowing the game, why is bity so popular in america?

My second thought is, "this is ridiculous! Violent, grotesque, barbaric, and nothing to do with our impression of a free country, that values things such as: moral, family or children in the entire world! Shouldn't it be banned?????"

To add a comment, even though I've never seen a World Wide Wrestling match - having heard that it is all fixed - who wins, making it a cartoonish way of expressing the american dream, in a corrupt way (given all the stereotypical accusations of other sports in the likes of tennis, football and boxing, thAT WWE is sort of a blasfemic, horror picture kind of joke, whitch enshrines or glorifies American way of living in a foreigners point of view, not american?

I do not understand your comment. It looks as if you want to discuss wrestling in general, but if this is the case, you should find another place to do it. In Wikipedia we only present facts and data of the world as it is and try not to show any prejudices. Discussions on Wikipedia is about the content of the articles (primarily!) and since you have no comments on the quality of the article of André the Giant, you ought not to write it here.

However, on your user page (Bruger:Siem.ud) you can write whatever you want and you could try to ask for comments there. If I was you, I would not expect much response, because users here normally do not come for that purpose.

Another issue: I do not understand the reason why you write in English, if you are Danish (and supposedly also read and write Danish), because this is the Danish Wikipedia, and the language is the most common characteristic of this version. I would urge you to switch to this language for more communication - or switch to English Wikipedia as an alternative. --Arne (Amjaabc) 15. mar 2009, 15:06 (CET)
