Deutsch: „Die Gemeinde führt ein Wappen, das symbolisch eine Süntelbuche mit 16 Blättern, 2 vorgelagerte Berge und die Aue darstellt. Die Symbole werden von dem historischen Schaumburger Nesselblatt umrahmt. Die Farben sind grün, rot und silber.“
English: „The arms were granted in 1980. The nettle leave shows the belonging to the former principality of Schaumburg. The beech, a typical tree in the region, with 16 leaves symbolizes the 16 villages which belong to the municipality. The brook and the hills stand for the area.“
