«Флаг Заларинского муниципального образования представляет собой прямоугольное полотнище с отношением ширины к длине 2:3, на всю поверхность которого распространена композиция из герба муниципального образования с заменой геральдических золота и серебра соответственно жёлтым и белым цветами».

Описание герба: «В зелёном поле опрокинутое, узкое и вписанное серебряное острие, обременённое чёрным верстовым столбом (поставленным вперёд углом, с восходящими к краям серебряными полосами) и сопровождаемое по сторонам золотыми: вверху — кадуцеем (справа) и колосом, внизу — двумя сообращенными белками, грызущими золотые орехи и сидящими на золотых сосновых ветвях, вырастающих из острия».
