Engelsk oversættelse[rediger kildetekst]

Could someone translate this phrase into Danish? I would like to place it at the bottom of lad:Lad, A Dog, a page that already has an English note. There is a Danish article about this topic, Lad, A Dog, and Danish readers should be able to have similar instructions. Thank you.

Tak skal du have.

For speakers of other languages who may have arrived on this page because "Lad:A Dog" lands on this page for technical reasons, please see the interwiki links elsewhere on this page.

Also, could someone request deletion for two pages? I accidentally created this section at Wikipedia:Landsbybrønden/Engelsk oversættelse, and I just discovered that someone created Wikipedia:Landsbybrønden in 2010.

Hello, Nyttend, welcome to the Village Pump.
I'm not quite sure what sure what you mean; what is "this phrase"? Could you elaborate a bit? Regarding your second question, we don't delete any discussions – Instead, we may archive them. Happy New Year, and welcome to the Danish Wikipedia. —Biscuit-in-Chief (diskussion) 31. dec 2018, 21:26 (CET)
Thank you. Sorry to confuse you: "this phrase" is the phrase in italics, For speakers of other languages who may have arrived on this page because "Lad:A Dog" lands on this page for technical reasons, please see the interwiki links elsewhere on this page. As far as deletion, both at en:wp and Commons, mistaken creations will be deleted upon request; I just assumed the same would be done here. Nyttend (diskussion) 31. dec 2018, 23:13 (CET)
Oh, okay, I wasn't aware of anyone doing that. I don't know if we do that here, we'll have to wait for someone with more experience than me to answer that. Regarding your initial question, how come that you want this note on the Danish article? Or do you want it like on the English where it s

Friend requests Messages 1 Notificationsays: "The correct title of this article is Lad: A Dog. The substitution or omission of the colon is due to technical restrictions."?—Biscuit-in-Chief (diskussion) 31. dec 2018, 23:51 (CET)

Would this work, Nyttend?:

Til læsere på andre sprog, som er kommet til denne side, fordi "Lad: A Dog" går hertil af tekniske årsager: se venligst interwikilinkene andetsteds på denne side.

I have also tagged the pages you mentioned for speedy deletion. Kranix (diskussion) 4. jan 2019, 16:02 (CET)
Kranix and Biscuit-in-Chief, thank you. I'm going to edit https://lad.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lad,_A_Dog and add the Danish note that Kranix wrote. I won't attempt to make workarounds elsewhere. This is because the Danish and English Wikipedias (and no others) have articles with this title; the only other Wikipedias with articles are Ladino (where confusion won't happen) and Chinese (which has a totally different title, zh:拉德,一只狗). I wanted this not because of software issues or problems with colon-handling, but because someone might enter the title in a search bar or URL — someone might go to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lad:A_Dog or https://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lad:A_Dog and be surprised to see a Ladino article, so the note helps the reader who doesn't know what happened or how to get back. Solve the problem, instead of making a workaround[rediger kildetekst]

@Nyttend: Instead of wasting time by making a workaround in many languages: Solve the problem.

  1. If you think the reason is a wrong link in dawiki, search it and correct it.
  2. If you think the reason is a problem regarding how the software handles colons in the search field, (and thus isn't specific to dawiki), write to MediaWiki and ask them to fix the problem.

Point 2. is the most likely cause, I guess. --Madglad (diskussion) 6. jan 2019, 23:43 (CET)

This is a long-standing MediaWiki limitation and is apparently difficult to fix without breaking prefixes. See en:wp:NC-COLON for more problematic examples. Kranix (diskussion) 8. jan 2019, 16:19 (CET)
