Patrick O'Brian (født Richard Patrick Russ 12. december 1914, død 2. januar 2000) var en engelsk romanforfatter. Patrick O'Brian er først og fremmest kendt for sin Aubrey-Maturin-bogserie, om kaptajnen Jack Aubrey og skibslægen Stephen Maturin, der udspiller sig under Napoleonskrigene.
