Isack Hadjar fører på nuværende tidspunkt kørermesterskabet.

FIA Formel 2 2024 er 2024-sæsonen af FIA Formel 2. Det er den 8. sæson efter tilbagekomsten af FIA Formel 2 i 2017. Der er elleve deltagende konstruktører og fireogtyve kørere. Sæson begyndte den 1. marts på Bahrain International Circuit i Sakhir og slutter den 8. december på Yas Marina Circuit i Abu Dhabi.

Holdændringer

Invicta Racing

Efter sponsorsamarbejdet mellem Invicta Watch Group og Virtuosi Racing i 2023-sæsonen, købte Invicta Watch Group ejerskabsandelen af teamet, og i 2024-sæsonen gik under navnet Invicta Racing.[3]

Rodin Motorsport

I 2024-sæsonen forladte Carlin-familien Rodin Carlin, fik Rodin Cars fuldt ejerskab over teamet, og ændrede navnet til Rodin Motorsport.[4] Rodin Motorsport blev dermed det første ikke-europæisk team i FIA Formel 2.

PHM AIX Racing

PHM Racing ændrede navn til PHM AIX Racing pga. sponsorårsager.[5]

DAMS Lucas Oil

DAMS ændrede navn til DAMS Lucas Oil pga. sponsorårsager.[6]

Ændringer i løbet af sæsonen

AIX Investment gennemførte sit opkøb af PHM Racing før det fjerde runde, og omdøbte teamet til AIX Racing.[7]

Kørerændringer

Mesteren af 2023-sæsonen, Théo Pourchaire, forladte ART Grand Prix og FIA Formel 2 for at deltage i Super Formel.[8] Théo blev erstattet af Zak O'Sullivan fra Formel 3.[9]

Den danske Frederik Vesti forladte Prema Racing og FIA Formel 2 for at deltage i Le Mans-serien.[10] Frederik blev erstattet af Andrea Kimi Antonelli.[11]

Rodin Motorsport erstattede Enzo Fittipaldi med Ritomo Miyata fra Super Formel.[12] Enzo skiftede senere til Van Amersfoort Racing.[13]

Den japanske Ayumu Iwasa forladte DAMS for at deltage i Super Formel, samt Arthur Leclerc som også forladte DAMS for at deltage i GT Italien.[14][15] De to tidligere DAMS-kørere blev erstattet af Jak Crawford fra Hitech Pulse-Eight og Juan Manuel Correa fra Van Amersfoort Racing.[16][17]

Amaury Cordeel og Jack Doohan forladte Invicta Racing,[18][19] hvor de blev erstattet af Gabriel Bortoleto fra Formel 3 og Kush Maini fra Campos Racing.[20]

Jehan Daruvala forladte MP Motorsport for at deltage i Formel E.[21] Jehan blev erstattet af Franco Colapinto fra Formel 3.[22]

Richard Verschoor forladte Van Amersfoort Racing, hvor han senere skiftede til Trident Motorsport.[23] Richard blev erstattet af Rafael Villagómez fra Formel 3.[24]

Isack Hadjar forladte Hitech Pulse-Eight, hvor han senere skiftede til Campos Racing.[25] Isack Hadjar og Jak Crawford som begge to forladte Hitech Pulse-Eight, blev erstattet af Paul Aron og Amaury Cordeel.[26]

Ralph Boschung indstillede sin racerkarriere, og derfor forladte Campos Racing, mens hans holdkammerat, Kush Maini, skiftede til Invicta Racing.[27][20] De to kørere blev erstattet af Pepe Martí fra Formel 3 og Isack Hadjar fra Hitech Pulse-Eight.[25]

Clément Novalak forladte Trident for at deltage i Le Mans-serien.[28] Clément blev erstattet af Rciahrd Verschoor fra VAR.[23]

Roy Nissany og Josh Mason forladte PHM AIX Racing, hvor de blev erstattet af Joshua Dürksen og Taylor Barnard.[29][30]
